Key:

Recruitment/Training time: (weeks)

Actions per turn:

Magical Prowess and abilities:

Weapons and Armour:

Background:

Xaria: Eredar

- N/A

- Four attacks.

- Her wings allow her access to Fel Fire attacks. Her left hand uses Fel Frost, her right, Fel Lightning. Xaria's presence inspires all Xarian Demons, making them immune to critically failing their attacks.

- Xaria uses no weapons besides her magic. She wears loose plate over her shoulders, chest and limbs, wearing mail underneath and covering her joints. Her head and wings are unprotected.

- Xaria served under Kil'jaeden on Argus. When the choices were made, Xaria was tempted by the views of both Kil'jaeden and Velen. Ultimately, what convinced her was that the Burning Legion was the only way to hold back the Void Lords, beings which terrified her. Her devotion to destroying the Void continues today and she hates Shadow magic of all kinds.

Xaria rejected much of the Legion's military philosophy, preferring to use her skills before the fel offering. This reluctance made her unpopular and rejected from high valued assignments. Her skills at what she was given however eventually convinced Kil'jaeden to grant her a force permenantly of her own. This group was kept away from other Legion groups. he was plased with this, as her distaste of Shadow other demons used kept her from wanting to work with them either.

During one such success, Xaria's Eredar discovered a use of magic to grant her fel fire wings. While popular amongst her force, this display worried other nearby Generals who conspired to have her assignments given to one of their own.

Eventually, control of her assignments was given down to the Pit Lord Zamzalor. Zamzalor saw her as a rival as well as a means to enchance his own status. He would give Xaria primitive planets to conquer before taking the credit for her victory, sending her to new worlds. Xaria understood this but was satisfied to let Zamalor take his glory. The worlds were being saved from the dark, that is what mattered.

Zamzalor still kept an eye on Xaria, rejecting all requests for troop reinforcements. Without any extra troops or resources, Xaria learnt to retain the forces she had, keeping them alive became a valuable skill. This careful strategy delayed her conquest of worlds but stooped her forces being wped out by primivie but outnumbering foes.

With the Legion invasion of Azeroth stalling, Zamzalor saw his chance to both wipe out his rival and give the Legion the boost it needed by suiciding Xaria onto Azeroth. Now on Azeroth, Xaria aims to balance her need to fulfil her orders with her need to keep her team being wiped out by the first world she has encountered used to her demonic kind.

Valis: Eredar

- N/A

- Three attacks.

- Valis is an expert in portals and can attack with Fel Fire, Fel Lighting and Fel Frost. Her presence also inspires Xarian Succubi and Eredar, making them immune to critically failing their attacks.

- Valis wears a chain-mail robe. She has no weapons other than her magic.

- Valis served under Xaria on Argus and the two have long considered each other their best friend. Valis was tempted by the rest of her family to flee Argus, however after talking with Xaria, she chose to stay with her friend, neither revealing about Velen's plan. She never saw her family again.

Valis continued to work under Xaria after taking the Fel Magic. She asked Xaria how she could best serve her and Xaria requested she master portals of all kinds, valuing their tactical advantage. When Xaria came to form her own force, she naturally chose Valis as one of her Commanders. Of the two, she is the more cautious.

Valis helped Xaria work out a way to transfer her Fel Fire into a set of demonic wings, a move that earnt her scorn amongst other demons and she never tried to repeat the feat.

Valis, more than any other of Xaria's demons, feels no loyalty to the Burning Legion and lives only to serve Xaria.

Harken: Fel Lord

- N/A

- Three attacks.

- Harken has only the usual skills of Fel Fire than other Fel Lord's hold. Like others, he prefers to use this to form Fel Spikes to manipulate the ground. Harken also inspires all Xarian Felguards, making them immune to critically failing with their attacks.

- Harken is heavily armed and covered head to toe in plate armour. His main weapon is a spear along with a large bulwark shield and is able to join the Felguard's phalanx formation. Other weapons he uses depending on the situation are a two-handed axe against larger foes and two shorter swords against small foes.

- Harken was short for a Fel Lord and constantly found himself at odds with the rest of his kind who considered him weak. Getting his horn cut off was the final straw. Harken trained even harder and began to find ways to use his smaller size to his advantage. This taste for a challenge stuck with him.

Harken was assigned to work with Xaria on occasion. Initially dismayed with her approach, he bagan to respect her combat style and how she would manipulate the situation to suit her needs. When Xaria was allowed to form her own force, she offered Harken one of her two Commander spots, which he accepted. Of the two, he was the more aggressive but began to learn the merits of Xaria's carefulness.

While he still disagrees with Xaria, his loyalty to her over hundreds of vitories has been unwavering. He cannot deny her results and as their number's decrease, he finds the challenge he seeks to come more frequently. Now on Azeroth, he is looking for the ultimate challenge and test of Xaria's tactics.

re: Xaria's Demons

Inquisitor (1)

- Six Weeks recruitment, Twelve Weeks training.

- Two attacks.

- Xaria insists her Inquisitor is trained in Blood Magic, along with the usual Fel variety. Controlling blood she finds extorts information the best.

- The inquisitor not being a front line demon wears a chain-mail version of the typical Inquisitor garb, with plated gloves and helm.

- A Jailer and Inquisitor were the last demons Xaria ever managed to add to her numbers before reinforcements ceased. She spent many years selecting her Inquisitor as she consider information to be the key to all her victories.

Her inquisitor, Malio, has worked with Xaria to perfect his interrogation technique, using a combination of fel and blood magic. Blood magic they find is painful, affects most life forms and can be used to prevent the prisoner from dying efficiently.

Jailer (1)

- Six Weeks recruitment, Twelve Weeks training.

- Two attacks.

- Xaria has her Jailer master Blood Magic, to both assist the Inquisitor and keep prisoners in check and suitably weakened.

- Xaria insists her Jailer is heavily armoured, covered in loose plate covering limbs, head and body with chainmail underneath to cover joints.

- Xaria's first choice of Jailer was one who would work well with her Inquisitor. She values the relationship between these two demons more than their other skills. In her case, she selected a Jailer having worked with Malio before, Kristoz.

Both are rarely on the front lines, but each receive sufficient training in leadership and strategy. Since both are usually stationed at their main base, they are in charge of base security along with prisoner containment and extraction.

Succubi (5)

- 2 Weeks recruitment, 10 Weeks training.

- 1 attack, 2 when revealing from invisibility.

- Xaria has her succubi focus on two schools of magic. The first and most important is invisibility, she has emphasised their natural affinity for it. For offense, they use poison magic, a corruption of nature. Their weapons are coated in this poison and they can use it for control, pain or killing. Any Succubi can go invisible at the end of their turn if they did not emerge that turn.

- The Succubi wear nearly full-bodied hardered leather armour, as much as protection as possible while still being silent. They are all armed with a dagger coated in poison and their trademark wipe, again bathed in a layer of poison.

- More so than any other demonic race, Xaria has put a huge emphasis on her Succubi, turning their skills that suit her warfare style into a lethal machine. Xaria values stealth and cunning and her Succubi follow through with this.

All of her Succubi are tactically trained as squad leaders, commanding Eredar and Felguards. From their stealth forms, they can see the battlefield and adjust accordingly. With their poison magic skillset they can swiftly change the flow of any battle.

This work comes at a cost however. Finding replacement Suuccubi is easy but their training takes a long time.

Wrathguards (6)

- 4 Weeks recruitment, 8 Weeks training.

- 1 attack. 2 intercepts per defensive turn.

- The Wrathguards ignite their weapons with Fel Fire but otherwise do not use magic. Wrathguards are inspired by the Commanders they guard and cannot critically fail their attacks if a Commander is present.

- The Wrathguards weild two long swords and are equiped with two smaller versions. They wear plate armour covering their entire body.

- Xaria has only ever had six Wrathguards are her disposal. Aware of their strength as shock troops, she rarely uses them aggressively. All six are assigned as bodyguards, two to herself and two for each of her Commanders. They rarely leave their side out on the field and their presence along with their Commander is usually enough to swing a battle in Xaria's favour.

Observers (2)

- 4 Weeks recruitment, 8 Weeks training.

- 1 attack.

- Observers can use any school of magic normally available to them, however Xaria has banned their use of shadow. Observers have high mobility than other demons and can fly without penalty.

- Observers are the only demons in Xaria's force that wears no armour. They instead chose to always remain in the air at range.

- Observers are a demonic race not officially alligned with the Burning Legion. Their hunger to see things has made them ideal for Xaria's use. Their issue however is loyalty, Xaria has a high expection and this takes time to put into place. She recently lost a number on Grilanan and has yet to replace them.

Xaria uses them as lookouts at her base usually. They are also in charge of map intelligence and world overview. They are sometimes taken out in the field to look for specific items but generally play a defensive role.

Felguards (24)

- 2 Weeks recruitment, 8 Weeks training.

- 1 attack.

- Xaria's Felguards can use Fel Fire if needed but mainly focus on physical attacks.

- Xaria's Felguards are heavily armoured in full plate. They have large bulwark shields, spears and short swords.

- Like most Legion armies, Felguards make up the core. Xaria uses them mainly as the 'anvil', using casters to deliver the damage. To this end, her Felguards are highly skilled at fighting in a phalanx' formation, a shield wall with a row of spears presented. Stacking lines increases the power of the formation, making it nearly invincible from the front.

The Felguard's have taken the brunt of Xaria's many campaigns, now forming four teams of six. She finally arrives on a world with abandoned demons hiding in the shadows. With proper training, her Felguards may return to their past strength.

Eredar (10)

- 4 Weeks recruitment, 4 Weeks training.

- 1 attack.

- Xaria's Eredar are mainly skilled at portal creation and manipulation. Along with this, they use Fel Fire or Fel Lightning attacks.

- Despite not designed for the front line, Xaria's Eredar wear chain-mail robes, plated gloves and have a short sword on their belts.

- Forming the core of Xaria's caster network, her Eredar are her main offense. Safely behind the phalanx, her Eredar are taught how to attack from the safety of the rear, without hitting their own forces.

Xaria's Eredar are all adept at portal magic. Each is able to make short range portals easily. To empower them further, Xaria has each Eredar work in pairs. She encourages relationships between these males and females to further improve their ability to work with each other.

Gan'arg (10)

- N/A (There are no Gan'arg on Azeroth)

- 1 attack.

- Xaria's Gan'arg are not skilled at magic, but like the rest of their kind, they are expert engineers and builders.

- Even for her workforce, Xaria armours her Gan'arg in chain-mail. Each is equiped with a small one-handed crossbow for any combat needs.

- While recent Legion forces have favoured the more tricky Wyrmtongue, Xaria's lack of reinforcements and desire for order have kept her with the more controlled Gan'arg. With such a limited supply, she will learn she needs to keep them alive, or be forced to recruit the more unreliable Wyrmtongue to carry our the role of labourer.
